Benjamin Baker, a prize winning graduate from the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal College of Music, joins the Orchestra for Sibelius’s Violin Concerto.  It’s a big, dark work demanding virtuoso skill from the soloist.  The concert ends with Brahms’s First Symphony, famously long in its gestation and with conscious elements of homage to Beethoven.  Join us for an evening of glorious music.
