Robert Weaver returns as guest conductor of Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra in a thrilling all Russian programme of late Romantic masterpieces. After a grand opening with Tchaikovsky's Polonaise from Act III of his opera Eugene Onegin, Emmanuel Bach, prize winning postgraduate scholar at London's Royal College of Music, will scale the heights of Tchaikovsky's dazzling, virtuosic feat of a concerto. The programme ends in Rachmaninov's emotionally and musically expansive Second Symphony, one of the composer’s finest achievements.
