Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra welcomes mesmeric London soloist Kwesi Edman back to St George’s for the performance of two exciting works for cello. Saint Saens’ virtuosic concerto, considered one of the greatest for the instrument, is spellbinding as it soars between registers. The world première of a work by award winning Bristol composer / conductor William Goodchild will also take centre stage as he conducts this specially written composition for Kwesi and the Orchestra. Together with an enchanting overture by Mendelssohn and a finely crafted Brahms symphony, this promises to be an evening of musical delights.
